). What do you need to know to protect yourself from identity theft? To keep it simple:
- Keep your personal information secure
- Don’t give out personal data
- Protect your social security card and computers
- Check your credit report every year
- Review bank and credit card statements
- Report any incidents of identity theft
- Beware of phishing schemes
